As one reviewer says, there is no software disk in the package but a download address for free software is given in the instruction sheet. The download package is an archive file in RAR format. After unzipping the files, the program installed with no problems on my computer running Windows XP. (The instruction sheet indicates the downloaded version is compatible with Windows 9x/ME/2000. How to configure the contols is briefly but accurately described in the printed instruction sheet. In the download package is an instruction manual in PDF format, but this is written in Chinese-English and I could not comprehend parts of it at all. I chose this controller because it uses a USB connection to the computer, no special cables needed. My computer recognized it instantly when I first made the connection.
